Following a week of work experience at Eski Media (formerly Eskimosoup), I was invited to stay on as an editorial board member for Got Your Back, a youth-led campaign tackling social issues in Hull and East Yorkshire. I stayed involved for nearly four years, working alongside the likes of Humberside Police and the NHS to create content that spoke directly to young people. Along the way, I appeared on the GYB Podcast and helped host a BBC Radio Humberside Takeover.
This experience taught me the value and power of media to drive real-world conversations and make a difference at community level.
